AB Wheel
Everything old is once new again is a phrase that fits exercise equipment every few years. A lot of the toys I used growing up are becoming popular again except with maybe a little twist or two added. The AB wheel is no exception. I remember finding a small metal pipe and stripping off old lawnmower wheels to make mine. Now many companies make them and they have added pedals with straps, or almost car tire looking tread width to help shred your abs. The good news is along as it rolls it will challenge your abdominals to move it. If you are familiar with planks then these exercises will feel very similar.
Exercises
Kneeling rollout- While grasping the handles on the wheel and kneeling on the floor or mat, let the wheel slowly roll out as far as you can go. If you can get past your head is great, but if you’re a beginner then try to roll it out to your chest or shoulders. More Advanced-instead of being on your knees try starting on your toes.
To side or angle-Same as above but when you get to your chest steer the wheel to the left or right. Make sure you do both sides equally.
Standing rollout-this is very advanced. While standing with wheel at your feet, try to roll it out as far as you can then bring it back to your feet.
Foot-attachment;
Kickouts-place your feet in the pedals and while on your elbows or hands, bring your feet up as high as you can using your lower abdominal muscles.
Leg curls-lay on your back with your feet in the pedals then lift your glutes off the ground and curl your feet towards your glutes as close as you can.
