(Disclaimer)This article is only my opinion
and in no way reflects the views of my sponsors.
Basically, this is my take and isn't the be all
or the end all.
First off, I would like to get all of my
frustrations with the media off of my chest.
Sometimes the media does good stories and other
times blows things way so far out of proportion
that it sends fear through the public. I was
extremely happy to participate in an interview
to set the record straight on what creatine is
and the truth about it. If you do believe
next statement, then you are a victim of poor
media, "Creatine is a steroid." The Mark Mcguire
incident is where all of this started. Mark was
closing in on Babe's record and as we know
surpassed it considerably. Many people believing
it would never be broken had to give some reason
for him not breaking the record fairly, I guess.
So they brewed up this idea that he was using a
performance enhancing drug that let him hit 70
homeruns, and not his skill or ability. I
played baseball for twenty years of my life, and
I don't care how big you are, size doesn't
automatically mean homeruns. Size and strength
helps, so don't get me wrong, but the difference
of a pop-out and a homerun, is less than an eighth
of a inch. Enough of that, so then, creatine
became a huge seller thanks to this publicity, and
every child to young adult to older adult wanting
to be Mark Mcguire, started to buy the stuff, not
knowing if it has any side-effects. Now it has
become a huge seller and parents hear this rumors
that have been brewing over the past few years and
one day they see a container of powder in their
child's room that says, "CREATINE" on it and there
scared thinking there kid is using an illegal
substance. Let's clear some things up.
