EZ Bar Arm Blast
I am a big believer in mixing things up, especially going into arm workouts to shock the muscles. This is a workout I came up with getting ready for the Natural Olympia around two weeks out. It is extremely intense, and takes a lot of fortitude to finish, but the results will be worth it. I would recommend doing it only about once a month or every six weeks. The main goal of these six exercises is to never take your hands off the EZ bar until you are done with this super giant set. Start with a light weight even the bar if you have to then the only rest time is adding 5-10lbs in between, finally completely 5 sets of 15 reps. Here is how we begin. Setup up the EZ bar and all the weights you will need in the same area near a flat bench. Start with the EZ bar on the bench, and once you put your hands on the bar we will not take them off until the sixth exercise is completed. Sitting on the end of the bench we will perform a wide bench curl. This is where you lay the bar on the middle of your thighs then curl it as high as you can keeping your back straight, and slowly lowering it back to your thighs. Once you have completed 15 reps flip your hands around on the bar quickly and drop back on the bench lying into a skull crusher movement. Extend the arms out and lower the bar to your forehead. After 15 reps, stand up quickly at the end of the bench and perform close grip curl trying to keep your elbows against your abs squeezing each rep all the way down to your thighs and up to your chin. After 15 reps sit back on the bench with back straight and the bar above your head performing a French press bring it all the way behind your neck to your traps. After 15 reps, stand up again with an overhand outside grip performing a reverse curl for the outer bicep, and last lie back down on the bench and perform a close grip press but instead of lowering the bar to your chest lower it to your chin then pressing straight up. Set the weight down and load it for the next super giant set.
