Last Week Before A Show Plan:

A lot of people ask me what I do for my last week before a show. Here is what I have done the last two years and currently this week, getting read for Vegas. Remember what works for me may not work for you, because some people like to go three days of sodium load and three days of carb loading, but I have found that only two days of carb load are necessary with a day and a half of water dehydrating.

Monday- Normal diet plan with minimum carbs, and lots of water. Chest/Back workout with no legs and normal cardio of 40m in morning and 20-30 min in evening.

Tuesday-1st day of sodium load and carb deplete, lots of water. Arms/Shoulders workout with no legs and normal cardio of 40m in morning and 20-30 min. in evening.

Wednesday-2nd day of sodium load and carb deplete, lots of distilled water. No workouts and only light walking (30min am and pm.)

Thursday-3rd day of sodium load and carb deplete, lots of distilled water until 4-5p.m. No workouts and only light walking (30min am and pm.)

Friday-1st day of carb and potassium loading, no sodium, no water (just sip). No workouts, only light cardio in morning, prep in the evening for show. Sometimes, I use a light surgical tubing to keep a small pump the day before.

Saturday- (day of show)- 2nd day of carb and potassium loading, no sodium or water. Instead of water, I try to use grapes or watermelon or P.O.S. 3 to rehydrate if I feel really dehydrated.

Sunday-eat like a pig.
