SuperSets

As I stated in my last tip I am a huge believer in super-setting (process of performing two sets consecutively with contradictory muscle groups).  With the chest I like to perform back movements, for example, if I am performing a set of barbell flat bench, I would immediately follow that with a set of seated wide-grip cable row or a standing barbell row.  Another example might be incline dumbbells with a set of pull-downs, and for bodyweight exercises, I would perform push-ups with pull-ups.  My philosophy is that when performing a push-up, the acceleration muscle is the chest, whereas to lower your body or decelerate it (slow-down), the back is the primary muscle.  On the other hand, the pull-ups follow the same principal with the back being the accelerator and the chest being the decelerator.
